Matt Farnsworth is an award winning American filmmaker, painter, video artist and performance artist. His first feature film Iowa (2005), a brazen exploration about meth addiction, was an instant cult classic. It made major headlines at the Tribeca Film Festival, gaining Farnsworth a solid fan base as a director and actor in the indie film world. In 2011, Farnsworth was awarded the Antonio Margheriti Award at the TOHorror film festival in Italy for his latest entry, The Orphan Killer. The film also took the “Best picture” award at Terror Molins De Rei Film Festival in Spain, as well as being honored in the Brigadoon section of the Sitges Film Festival; it is considered the first horror icon born of social media.
Matt Farnsworth, along with actress Diane Foster and David Backhaus (The Orphan Killer) , will be in the horror section of the Montreal Comiccon and available for a Q&A after the screening of The Orphan Killer.
